Am Square Place Churchill täuscht ein Gebäude über seine Funktion. Auf dem Giebel steht „Justizpalast“ , aber die Emailletafel am Kulturpfad der Stadt erzählt von der Geschichte des Gebäudes: einem Kapuzinerkloster .
Im Jahr 1620 ließen sich Kapuzinermönche aus Irland in Charleville nieder. Am 12. Januar 1625 segnete und weihte der Erzbischof von Reims das Kirchengebäude. Das ursprüngliche Kloster wurde vermutlich im 18. Jahrhundert abgerissen und durch ein zweites Kloster ersetzt, mit dessen Bau 1782 begonnen wurde . Während der Revolution wurde das Kloster zum Gefängnis . Diese Funktion hat das Kloster auch heute noch inne.
