The Bink

The brewery is located in a building dating from 1878. It was originally the property La Renaissance, later transformed into a brewery by Evarist Clerinckx. Originally, beers such as De Reus were only delivered in barrels, as far as a horse and cart could go in a day. In 1968, Jean Clerinckx, one of his descendants, took over the brewing bar. In 1988, he resumed operations as a small craft brewer and launched Bink, a blonde high-fermentation beer. A similar dark beer followed later. Bink is the nickname of the Trudonnaires. In 1999, Marc Limet took over the business and launched two new seasonal beers in 2000. The Bloesem Bink is brewed in spring and summer and includes, in addition to the classic ingredients, honey from Saint-Trond and syrup from Vrolingen pears. The Winterkoninkske is a dark beer consumed in winter. The most recent beer is called Adelardus (blonde or brown), named after one of the most important abbots of Saint-Trond. During the third weekend of August, the Binkfeesten are in full swing around a themed beer. The brewery is open every day (except Tuesday) from April to the end of October, from 10 am to 8 pm. A guided tour is organized every Saturday at 4 pm. From the end of October to the end of March, the brewery is open on Thursdays, weekends, and public holidays from 1 pm to 8 pm.
