Church of Sant Nicolau

In 2011 the church was bought by the Bon Baron winemakers.

Piotr and Jeanette Van der Steen settled in Lustin in 2006 . There they started their business and expanded it by planting fifteen hectares of vineyards in Houx. Since their basement was getting smaller and smaller , they bought the church, which had been empty for twenty years . There is no light and a lot of space. And the walls are thick, which is good when it's hot. In short, everything that makes a good winery .

There is also a tasting room .

The church's stained glass windows have been completely renovated. The 6 windows in the side aisles, the display case above the front door and a display case in the wine cellar are inspired by the original stained glass windows but with the bunch of grapes as a guide in the central lancet. The other windows are copies of the original stained glass windows.

Château Bon Baron produces its wines in the vineyard according to ecological principles.
The natural vinification from healthy, ripe grapes guarantees "honest wines".

Because no stabilization or binders are used, Château Bon Baron wines are allowed to contain a tank. A deposit means tartar loss.

This is not a mistake, but a seal of quality that can be found in all the great wines of the world.
