From the beginning of the road "Am Englischen Hügel," you look down on the railway line from Elten to Emmerich. A little further east, this railway line (due to limited space) was laid against the steep slope of the moraine right along the border river "Die Wild." Down there, a main branch of the Rhine once flowed, having eroded large parts of the moraine.
"Am Englischen Hügel" takes you from the edge of the moraine at 26 m above sea level to the top "Hoch-Elten" at 77 m above sea level.
