The first sacred building found south of the Malophoros enclosure is a temple, commonly called the Triolo Building , after the name of the family that owns an existing property in the area.
The temple is preceded by a large altar. The building looks like an archaic temple of remarkable proportions. Thanks to a rigorous restoration, the north and south sides of the building were rebuilt.
We know with certainty that after the destruction of the city (409 BC) the building was reused by the Carthaginians who added a portico on the eastern front with pillars surmounted by Egyptian groove capitals.
