Nieuwveen is a village in the municipality of Nieuwkoop, in the Dutch province of South Holland. The village has 3,970 inhabitants. Until 1991, Nieuwveen was an independent municipality and until January 1, 2007, it was part of the municipality of Liemeer. In Nieuwveen is the town hall of the municipality of Nieuwkoop located.
From August 1, 1915, to January 1, 1936, Nieuwveen was on the railway line Uithoorn - Alphen aan den Rijn. The provincial road was later constructed on the route of the railway line. The station building from 1915 is still present.
