A través de una compra estratégica de terrenos por parte de los pioneros de Limburgs Landschap vzw en 1978, se evitó el enderezamiento del Bosbeek. Esto dio inicio a la recuperación paisajística y se mantuvo el gran valor natural del área.
En total, alguna vez hubo dieciséis molinos a lo largo del Bosbeek. Al este de Tösch se encuentra el Wurfeldermolen. El primer molino en ese lugar probablemente data de antes de 1437. El molino ha funcionado como molino de pleno (para tratar lana), como molino de corteza (para moler corteza de roble para ácido tánico), como molino de papel y molino de grano.
