Towards the end of the 11th century, a college of canons was established to restore rigor to the lifestyle of the Saint-Emilion monks. A convent was then erected with its cloister and a Romanesque church that would become the collegiate church. Built in the 12th century, the nave, along with its porch topped by a razed bell tower, has retained its Romanesque style. The choir dates from the 14th century and houses a classified organ, the only instrument built in 1892 by Gabriel Cavaillé-Coll, son of the famous 19th-century organ builder, Aristide Cavaillé-Coll.
