The Saint-Tropez fish market is a small but charming market where you can buy fresh fish and seafood straight from local fishermen. Authentic, pure, and utterly Provençal!
Saint-Tropez was once a poor fishing village . The fish market is a remnant of that era, a reminder that the village has simple, maritime origins —even before Brigitte Bardot and luxury yachts arrived.
Much of the fish on the market is caught that very night off the coast of Saint-Tropez or around the Îles d'Hyères. It's truly "from the boat to the plate." Fishermen often arrive at the market still wearing their boots!
Every morning , usually from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM . It's usually closed on Sundays and Mondays . Come early – the best and freshest catch goes fast! Restaurants in Saint-Tropez (even the upscale ones!) often send their chefs or sous-chefs to the market early in the morning to select the best fish for the day's menu.
