The church of Herveld is dedicated to St. Willibrord. The Roman Catholic church built in the sixties of the last century still bears the name Willibrorduskerk. The medieval church became Protestant after the Reformation. Until 1606, the municipality entered into a combination with the Protestant church of Slijk-Ewijk. The church was restored in the years 1949 – 1953 and in 1957 – 1958 the tower was restored. In the new millennium, the church has been thoroughly renovated and the outside and inside of the church and tower have been completely restored. In April 2009 the church was festively inaugurated.
